Fascinating article about viruses. The biological kind, not the computer kind.

More boring stuff about my life....Lots of stuff has happened since the last posting...
I got a promotion and a 20% pay increase. Sweet. I will be doing a different job, with supervisory powers. In fact, I will basically be in charge of the entire company's operations when I am working.
The past few months I have been working practically 7 days a week. I am trying to take it easy by getting two days per week off. On these days off, I decided I need to have a social life outside of work. So, I have:
Been hanging out with my ex J and her new girlfriend, A. It's nice to have them as friends. Sadly, J hasn't been feeling well recently. J, if you're reading this, get well soon!
Also been hanging out with Ci and D. Spent St. Patrick's Day with them. D used to be a professional chef, and she made some
killer home-made corned beef and cabbage. I drank a few too many and passed out in their recliner. They let me sleep it off and D even cooked up a yummy breakfast in the morning, too.
I've been doing a "movie night" with my friend L. I met L on craigslist. Back when I first moved here I posted an ad looking for friends. L responded and we've hung out off and on for almost a year now. We alternate locations for the movie night -- her place one time, mine the next. I like this because it forces me to clean up my house. We watched "Walk the Line" at my place last week. Pretty good movie, if you haven't seen it yet.
I went to dinner with Br and her two daughters the other day. Before dinner, we went shopping to find some summer clothes for our cruise. The shopping was fun -- we all picked out a ton of stuff and tried everything on. I liked almost everything I picked out, and most of it fit pretty well, too.
Oh yeah, I guess I should mention the cruise... Br invited me to go with her and her two daughters on a Caribbean cruise this summer. Her niece (who she had originally invited) is in jail and can't make it. Just my luck! I've never been on a cruise, so this will be an adventure for me, for sure!
St. Patrick's Day was my two year anniversary living full-time as a woman. I mentioned it to Ci and D when I was at their place, and they asked if I would ever "go back." No way!
Update on the Mac: I have found someone who can likely fix it by giving me instructions via e-mail. The bummer: it will cost upwards of $500. My data is worth that to me. Very much worth it. I just don't have the money right now. I have to wait until the end of April before I can save up that much. Dammit.
OK, I should probably get some sleep.
'night!
