Just what's on my mind today...

I'm fucked....

I just accidentally deleted over 300GB worth of irreplaceable data. Pictures mostly. From 1999 to present. Some music, too. A lot of projects that I worked on. Some software that I will have to illegally download to replace. Fuck. Fuck. Fuckity-fuck-fuck! Argh. I placed a query on the Macintosh Manager's list, and basically the consensus is "you're fucked." Lesson here: backup your shit. Especially your irreplaceable, important shit.

Speaking of being fucked, I fucked up my knee today at work. I slipped on some ice, of all the fucked up things to do. It is swollen now, about the size of a softball. Hurts like a motherfucker, too. I am all limping around, people asking if I hurt myself... "No, I didn't hurt myself, I just wanted to see how long it would take you to notice that I am limping...." Fucking dipshits.

My boss made me fill out an accident report. I guess it is a good idea, because back when I lived in Virginia, I sprained my ankle, didn't think it hurt too bad, and then a few hours later it hurt so damn bad that I went to the emergency room because I thought it was broken. It wasn't broken, but I was on crutches for a few days before I could put any pressure on it again. I guess these fucksticks just want to cover their asses.... Oh well.

A glimpse of a day in my life....

Link/Tip of the day:

Bad drivers suck. Bad drivers piss me off. Here is a lesson on what to do to minimize congestion. Be sure to get your free bumper sticker. I got mine!

More boring stuff about my life....

Sleep

I have trouble getting to sleep, but once there I would need a firetruck right next to my bed to wake me! I had three alarm clocks in college, and all of them could be going off at once and all it would do was wake all of my roomies....

In HS my mom used to come in and splash water on my face to get me out of bed.

I snore, but not very loudly.

I like to sleep in the cold -- I always have a window open (even when there is snow on the ground!) and a fan going.

I need noise to sleep. Radio, TV, white noise generator, traffic passing by on an interstate, a fan.... Doesn't matter as long as it isn't dead silent.

I like to hug something (or someone) with one arm. I usually sleep on my right side and hug with my left arm.

If I have something important or unusual coming up in the next day, I usually cannot sleep and toss and turn all night from nervousness.

I am most definitely a "night person." I stay up until the sun comes up, and wake up mid-afternoon. Luckily, my work schedule not only allows this, but encourages it.
